For sale is my 1996 Mk3 Vauxhall Astra 1.4 Merit 3 Door – an extremely rare example with an automatic gearbox and only 22,250 miles on the clock. This car is totally original and unmolested, having had just three previous owners.

The first owner was the supplying dealer, Dickens Vauxhall in Wrexham, where the car was used as an ex-demonstrator. The second owner was an elderly gentleman who used it for short trips around town, and the third owner acquired it from an auction house.

The car runs and drives beautifully, and has been well-maintained throughout its life. It has a few blemishes as you would expect from a car of this age, but is otherwise in great condition.

In July 2021, a new battery was fitted, and in August 2021 a new alternator was installed. The car passed its last MOT with no advisories.
