For sale is a 1997 twilight blue Mk1 MX5 B2 Ltd that was imported into the UK in 2007. The car has had two owners before the current owner bought it in 2011. During the 12-year ownership, the car has only done approximately 6500 kilometers or around 4000 miles, bringing the total to approximately 87,000 kilometers or around 54,000 miles.

The car has spent many years in storage, and upon buying the car, the current owner removed any rust from the subframes and wishbones, treated them with two-pack epoxy mastic paint, and rebushed the wishbones. Gaz fixed height coilovers were also fitted, and a matching ‘twilight blue’ hard top was bought for the car at some stage.

A couple of years ago, the car had new Nankang NS-2Rs all round and had its geometry set up by Dan at A K Automotive. The car also comes with ‘Roadster’ floor mats and a tonneau cover. In 2020, the owner overhauled the injectors with new seals and O rings from Autolink. The rear sills also had some rust, which was cut out and welded with repair panels. The sills and rear arches were then coated with two grades of Dinitrol.

The car’s paintwork has scratches and chips that can be seen when closer, and there is damage to the rear left quarter of the car from the tow bar on a Ford Ranger Wildtrak. The car has passed its MOT test with no advisories.

Viewing of the car is welcome at the owner’s home near Skipton in North Yorkshire. The car is being sold to make garage space for a ‘seven’ kit car. Payment by bank transfer is required if the car sells.
