For sale is my excellent 1999 Ford Escort 1.6 Flight 5-door manual in metallic Amparo Blue. The car has 63,200 miles on the clock and has been garaged throughout its life. It was previously owned by an ex-Ford employee (now a pensioner) and myself, his son.

This car is in great condition and comes with period-correct Ford radio/CD and the original working radio/cassette with code in the boot. It also includes original Ford brochures and sales documentation, supplying dealer plates, all original keys (including red key), OEM floor mats, and new OEM wheel trims.

Within the past 7 years, the car has had new front wings, rear bumper, rear wheel arches, and repainted rear tailgate (covered less than 1,200 miles since 2015 as shown in the MOT photo). It also has 4 nearly new Firestone and Avon tires.

I have recently spent just under £1,000 on a full recommission after several years in storage, including a new cam belt, fan belt, brake fluid, water pump, coolant, PAS fluid, oil and filter change (see invoice photo). The car also comes with a 12-month MOT.

While I cannot guarantee or warranty the car, I’m not aware of anything that needs doing to it currently. I’m selling it because I have too many classic cars.

The buyer will need to collect the car from SN12 6FT, and payment must be made by cash or cleared in full before or on collection. The car is also for sale elsewhere, so I reserve the right to end the auction. Please don’t ask what the reserve is, and no time-wasters, please!
