I’m excited to introduce you to my rare Mondeo ST24, which was registered in November 1999 with the license plate V503SPU. It is located in Essex and is believed to have been first owned by Ford Motor Company.

The car is finished in Medium Steel Blue and features a full leather ST200 interior, including Recaro front seats, full leather rear seat, and ST200 door cards. It also has an ST200 carbon fiber instrument surround and upgraded VIBE door speakers. A DAB Pioneer Audio unit with Bluetooth connectivity has been installed.

The car has undergone expensive and extensive part restoration, including new drivers side inner and outer sill replacement, a new drivers side front wing, and other small areas of welding to ensure it is now in great condition. The rear suspension has had new lower and trailing arms fitted and Power Flex poly bushed. The front drop links have been replaced, and new front lower arms and wishbones fitted, with Power Flex poly bushing at the front. The front discs were replaced with larger Focus ST discs and Mondeo ST220 brake calipers, while the rear brakes remain untouched.

The car’s 2.5 V6 engine is untouched and provides great low-end torque and smooth power. Both headlamp units have been replaced with new ones, and upgraded headlight bulbs have been installed. The car is fitted with 17 inch Fiesta ST150 refurbished alloys and matching tires, which suit the car nicely. A new front flexi exhaust pipe has been fitted, along with a new alternator and auxiliary belt. All door rubbers have been replaced, and a new set of expensive carpet mats are included, but not yet fitted.

The car comes with two remote keys, some invoices, and no book pack. However, there are a couple of negatives that I must point out. There is a small amount of corrosion on the passenger side rear arch, the headlining is sagging above the driver’s seat (although it has been pinned up), the handbrake warning light sometimes stays on (which may be a micro switch issue), and just the driver’s half of the heated elements on the heated front windscreen work.

The car is a weekend/ nice sunny day second car and is not in daily use. It is located in Swanley near Dartford and is HPI Clear. Payment must be made via bank transfer of cleared funds before collection, and the V5 is present and in my name.
