1999 VAUXHALL ASTRA CLUB 1.6 8V

I took this in PX a couple of weeks ago and have been using it daily, I have been averaging 35 MPG.

The car drives really nice with a smooth engine and gearbox. Clutch is great, feels like it has had a very easy life.

I have noticed that sometimes if you restart the engine shorty after a journey the throttle can be a bit sticky for a few seconds resulting in the car over revving but soon clears… never does it first thing in the morning or if it’s been parked up for a while. It may require a new throttle cable. Whatever it is I cannot see it costing much as it’s such a simple car. I have been using the car every day for the last week or so.

Few parking scuffs around the car but overall its in honest condition and I would say original. The arches look really clean and the interior is virtually unmarked.

Car has done less than 52k miles but I am using it so may creep over

Seems to be very original throughout and retains its original dealer plates and first aid kit!

No modifications from what I can see.

Only has the 1 key.

Has air conditioning and driver and passenger air bags. Electric front windows. Cassette player!

Tyres all have plenty of tread and are the correct sizes. Steel wheels with hub caps.

All in all a low mileage modern classic that would make a good daily runaround or perhaps something to restore and take to some car shows.

The mileage , service history , originality and just 1 previous owner make it pretty unique I think.
