This is a lovely rare example of a BMW 540i E39 4.4L V8, rare, as it is one of the small number of MANUAL cars made making it a very lively drive!. This gorgeous metallic blue version has black leather interior and features the original phone mount. First registered in 1996 the car has just the correct patina and looks absolutely “right”.

Introduced in 1995, the E39 model 5 series was offered in both sedan and touring styles and was widely regarded as one of the best generations to come from Munich. The E39 saw BMW use aluminium for an increasing number chassis and suspension parts, which not only reduced weight but has increased longevity. The 540i is powered by the 4.4L M62 V8 engine. The 540i also featured recirculating ball steering as opposed to the 4 and 6 cylinder models which utilised rack and pinion setups.
